Motor Expo 2016 - PART 1

This year's Motor Expo had some very juicy new bikes for us living in Thailand.

First off, the introduction on the Thai market of a great motorcycle manufacturer. One that has now 95 years of history and has a special place in my heart: you guessed it....Moto Guzzi is finally here!
Unfortunately, the import taxes will seriously affect sales, since they will cost around one third more than their direct competitors.
Aprilia, being part of the Piaggio group like Moto Guzzi, are also officially present for the first time.

Another highlight for me, was the Triumph stand, which had all new bikes on show, includingthe new T100, the Street Scrambler, the Street Cup and the much talked about Bobber. The bikes all look great in my opinion, very well executed with much attention to detail. I particularly liked the black and grey metal flake tank on the Street Cup, which will most likely find its way on my future Street Twin.

A very nice custom Speed Triple. The transformation kit will probably be sold in the coming year, price not yet available.

Gone is the trademark double headlight to make space for a nice classic looking single round headlight. Thanks God, I would add.

Not so sure about this little liquid cooling contraption...

The Street Scrambler looks particularly good in my opinion

MotoTrio joins the Omega Family

I'm very pleased to announce that another great Thai manufacturer has joined the Omega family.

MotoTrio has a stunning lineup of custom parts for all Triumph Modern Classics, including fiberglass fenders, fender eliminator kits, side covers, oil cooler guards and many many more.
MotoTrio is the brainchild of 3 brothers (Em, Om and Arm)

I'm in the process of reorganizing the shop, both online and in real life, and I will add many new parts throughout the next couple of months.

Consolidating the beginning of a new adventure with one third of  MotoTrio..."Em"

BIKE OF THE WEEK #26

I really like this bobber. I don't know why, but when I look at it, it evokes in me the picture of a pair of comfortable, well fitting trainers....and that's to take as a compliment.

In any case, this bobber is for sale in Thailand at 55.000Baht (no book).
HERE is the original link.

BIKE OF THE WEEK #22

The bike seems to be still unfinished judging from the lose cables under the seat, but the bike is gorgeous nonetheless. The tank-seat design is especially tasteful I think.
I'm getting more and more into these cafe-bobber-street tracker hybrids with fat Firestone tires. Maybe I should do some changes on my SR.....

EL DIABLO

El Diablo is an amazing online magazine dedicated to the picturesque world of hot rods, bobbers, the wrench culture and art. Containing some of the best pictures on the net, El Diablo is based in Spain and most of its articles are written in Spanish. That's not a big problem though, as you'll be too busy drooling over that special bobber or that cool hot rod to notice...
By the way, that hot Vespa I put on as 'Bike of the Week' comes from El Diablo.
